Foundit Accessibility Statement

Found It Labs LLC wants Foundit to be usable by families with a wide range of abilities.

This statement covers Foundit during its Friends & Family testing phase.

Our current approach

Our engineering and design process aims to include:

• clear, consistent navigation and plain language;
• meaningful accessibility labels and roles;
• support for screen readers such as VoiceOver and TalkBack;
• touch targets sized for mobile use;
• color contrast and information that is not communicated by color alone;
• predictable focus order and understandable error messages;
• support for text scaling where layouts permit;
• alternatives to gesture-only actions; and
• reduced reliance on time limits.

We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a design and testing reference where applicable to mobile software. This is a target, not a claim of conformance. Foundit has not yet completed an independent accessibility audit.

Known areas under review

Before public release, Foundit still needs documented testing for:

• complete VoiceOver and TalkBack flows;
• dynamic text and large accessibility sizes;
• contrast in every state, including hunt/found-item coral states;
• keyboard and switch-control behavior where supported;
• focus handling in modals, camera flows, QR flows, and error messages;
• motion and reduced-motion behavior;
• camera and photo tasks for users who need assistance or an alternative;
• screen orientation and supported device sizes; and
• the accessibility of privacy notices, parental gates, and external support content.

Some core gameplay requires a camera and physical movement. Adults should adapt or skip tasks that are inaccessible or unsafe for a player.

If you have difficulty using Foundit or want information in another accessible format, contact us. Please include the device type, operating-system version, screen, and assistive technology involved, but do not send children's photos, share codes, or other sensitive content.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days. This is an operational service target for acknowledging your message, not a guarantee that every issue will be fully resolved within that time.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is reviewed as the app changes. New screens and material design changes should be checked against the repository's compliance evidence checklist, and confirmed limitations should be tracked to remediation.
