Foundit Terms of Use

These Terms govern use of the Foundit mobile app, provided by Found It Labs LLC.

These Terms cover Foundit during its Friends & Family testing phase.

Effective date: August 23, 2026

By downloading or using Foundit, the adult responsible for the device agrees to these Terms. A child may use Foundit only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

1. Family use and adult responsibility

The adult is responsible for creating and reviewing hunts, selecting safe hiding places, supervising players, controlling device access, deciding whether to use AI suggestions, and deciding whether and with whom to share a hunt.

The adult gate is a product safeguard; it is not a guarantee that a child cannot access an adult action and is not represented as legal identity or parental-consent verification.

2. License

Subject to these Terms, Foundit grants you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use the app for lawful family and household purposes. Apple or Google platform terms may also apply.

3. Safety rules

You must not:

Foundit is not an emergency, child-location, supervision, safety-monitoring, or rescue service.

4. Photos, hunt content, and permissions

You keep ownership of content you create. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to photograph, process, and share it. Do not photograph people, private documents, identifying details, or sensitive locations unless lawful and necessary.

You grant Foundit a limited license to process content only as needed to provide, secure, and maintain the requested features, including optional AI naming and deliberate private sharing. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to reasonable technical, security, backup, and legal retention.

5. AI suggestions

AI-generated item names may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. An adult must review and edit every suggestion before relying on it. Foundit does not guarantee recognition accuracy.

6. Sharing

A share code is a secret credential. Anyone with a valid code may be able to import the associated hunt before it expires or is revoked. You are responsible for choosing recipients and deleting a share when it is no longer needed.

7. Availability and changes

Foundit may change, suspend, or discontinue features, impose reasonable limits, or release updates for safety, security, legal, or operational reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service.

8. Privacy

The Foundit Privacy Policy explains information practices and is incorporated into these Terms.

9. Third-party services

Foundit relies on third-party platforms and processors. Their terms and availability may affect the app. Foundit is not responsible for third-party services beyond the extent required by applicable law.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Foundit is provided "as is" and "as available." Found It Labs LLC disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Found It Labs LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from Foundit.

12. Termination

You may stop using Foundit at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for material violations, unlawful conduct, security threats, or when required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated as required by law. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance where legally permitted.
